The first event on Burcot Boats calendar is the inuagural Home Built Boat Regatta on the 16th and 17th of September 2006, at the Cotswold Water Park. This is being organised by Jordan Boats and promises to be a great get together of many boat builders and would-be boat builders. It is a non commercial event and will be a good place to meet some other wooden boat builders, have a look at their boats, and chat about how they built them...

The event is sponsored by Robbins Timber so we should be able to pick their brains about the right sorts of timber for our projects.

There will be an opportunity to get afloat on the lake and maybe some fun races.
