The first event on Burcot Boats calendar was the inuagural Home Built Boat Regatta on the 16th and 17th of September 2006, at the Cotswold Water Park. This was organised by Jordan Boats andwas a great get together of many boat builders and would-be boat builders. It is a non commercial event and will be a good place to meet some other wooden boat builders, have a look at their boats, and chat about how they built them...

The event was sponsored by Robbins Timber so we were able to pick their brains about the right sorts of timber for our projects.

There was a great opportunity to get afloat on the lake and loads of fun was had by all. Watch out for the next years event at Beale Park.
